Replacing tyres and other accessories
The car was in a really desolate condition after the crash that we had had a week before, and we needed to have it fixed by the end of July. You know, we were going on holiday to Greece and that would be impossible without our car. Fortunately, the accident had not been dangerous, and only some details needed fixing, so we were able to do most of the work by ourselves. First of all, the tyres had to be replaced. Two of them were flat and to tell you the truth, we should have bought new ones long before that because the treads were worn out. There was also a problem with one of the windows. The pane had been broken so I had to order a new one, too. Unfortunately, cars like ours are not very common so I spent a lot of time looking for a pane that was exactly the right size. The mirrors were broken, too, but I had some spare ones at home. The left headlight didn"t work, although there was apparently nothing wrong with it. There wasn"t even a scratch on it. It must have been destroyed inside, perhaps it had suffered from the shock of the crash. I took my car to the car service centre and asked them to replace the tyres and fix that light. Fortunately, we managed to have the car back by the end of July, so we could finally go on holiday.
