A winter diet plan
A healthy diet should be modified all year round, according to seasons and sudden weather changes. Today I would like to discuss a winter diet plan. Depending on where you live, you might experience very low temperatures with ice and snow or mild rainy winters that are more like autumns. What should your diet be like in winter time? Well, first all, it is important to limit the number of cold meals. Ice cream, cold water or too much raw fruit and vegetables can be really unhealthy. What"s important is cooking, frying, baking and steaming, which is the safest method. This will ensure that the temperature of the consumed food does not differ greatly from the temperature inside your body. Remember that we are prone to colds and infections in cold months much more if we additionally burden our immune system. What should we eat in winter? Depending on what"s available in your area, you should choose products that can be stored for long months such as potatoes, carrots, celery, parsley, onion and garlic. They have warming properties and some of them, such as garlic, can fight bacteria and viruses. Avoid products that make our body colder such as soy milk, oranges, and yellow grapefruits. Generally, southern fruit have no warming properties. Their function is exactly the opposite. Stick to your diet plan until the warmer spring months come.
